Markle, 40, looked sleek in her strapless outfit as she joined Prince Harry, 37, for dinner at Locanda Verde after the two visited the United Nations to mark Nelson Mandela Day. Wearing a strapless black jumpsuit with flared legs, black and white ties at the back and a wide white band at the top, the duchess’ look was similar in style to the Roland Mouret dress the Duchess of Cambridge wore to the “Top Gun: Maverick” premiere. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry hit the town last night after their visit to the UN. Investigative journalist Tom Bower alleges in his book “Revenge” (per the Daily Mail) that Middleton “burst into tears” after Markle compared the Duchess of Cambridge’s daughter, Princess Charlotte, “unfavorably to her best friend Jessica Mulroney’s daughter,” Isabel, during a dress fitting before the “Suits” alum’s wedding to Prince Harry. Bower claims Markle and Middleton, both now 40, did not see eye to eye about the length of Charlotte’s hemline or the fit of her dress. They also allegedly disagreed on whether Markle’s bridesmaids “should wear tights” at the wedding. The biographer also claims that Mulroney, 42, and Mulroney’s mom “supported” Markle’s “insistence” in the row with Middleton. Meghan Markle made Kate Middleton cry in their 2018 feud over dresses, a new biography Bower’s version of how the events unfolded is not the first time claims have been made about Markle upsetting Middleton. Media outlets previously reported that Markle had made Middleton cry over what Charlotte, now 7, could wear as a flower girl — just days before the former actress was due to walk down the aisle. Tensions were apparently already high between the Cambridges and the Sussexes at the time, and Middleton felt the disagreement was the last straw. “It was a hot day and apparently there was a row over whether the bridesmaids should wear tights or not,” a friend of Prince William and Middleton told Tatler magazine in 2020 after Harry, 37, and Markle resigned from their royal duties and moved to the United States. “Kate, following protocol, felt that they should.
